‘mercury’ is the third single from Irish band kleio, who have made waves throughout 2024 thanks to their ferocious, memorable take on modern indie. Their instrumentals are driven by high-energy rhythms that pound away below distortion-heavy guitars, while Luke’s anthemic lead vocals soar with subtle melancholy. “Mercury was such a fun song to write, I wrote the lyrics on the back of receipts while I was working in a shop and I'd go home every day filled with ideas on how the song should go,” explains frontman Luke.
